Who we are:
The Arkansas Recycling Coalition (ARC) unites large and small companies,
government agencies, nonprofit organizations, and individuals in a common
effort to promote reduce, reuse, and recycling education and programs.
The unique blend of over 200 members promotes a sharing of ideas and
understanding of diverse interests and needs.
Where we have been:
The ARC was formed in 1989 in response to the need for comprehensive
information and programs on reduce, reuse, and recycling and waste reduction.
The original effort was spearheaded by Ozark Recycling Enterprise, Inc.
through a Winthrop Rockefeller Foundation grant.
Where we are going:
The ARC is committed to assisting members in improving their reduce,
reuse, and recycling opportunities, recycling skills and techniques
through education, special studies, research and the exchange of ideas
and technical knowledge. The ARC has pledged to educate the general
public and members of government and the business community about the
economic and environmental significance of recycling.
